HENGELREËLS / ANGLING RULES:

General:
It is a boat and shore angling competition.
Participants must register at gates.
Only participants may participate in Bonanza.
Open line class. Two rods per angler.
Hounette en life wells sal voor elke kompetisie nagegaan word.
Deur in te skryf aanvaar deelnemers die hengelreëls.
Any participant who contravenes the angling rules will be disqualified.
Organiser’s decision is final.
Jy moet te enige tyd op versoek van 'n beampte jou hengelkaartjie kan toon.
Reg van toegang voorbehou. No refunds.
Drankmisbruik en onbeheersde gedrag sal nie geduld word nie. Oortreders sal aangekla en deur die S.A.P van die terrein verwyder word.
Sportmangees, boot-en-oewerhengelaars respekteer mekaar se regte.
'n Oneerlike hengelaar pleeg bedrog, nie net teen die organiseerders of die borge nie, maar ook teen JOU, die eerlike hengelaar. Rapporteer asseblief enige bedrog of afwyking van die hengelreëls. Dit is vir jou eie beswil.
Eko-Care keur voerplekke af. Merkers slegs tydens die kompetisie toegelaat sodat deelnemers nie oor mekaar se lyne gooi nie.
Damreëls van die SAPS, Oorde en Provinsies geld.
Geen quadbikes en troeteldiere by oorde toegelaat nie.
Geen hengel op Donderdag 26 April vanaf 18h00 totdat Stywe Lyne Spanne kompetisie begin nie en op Vrydag 27 April vanaf 18h00 totdat Spar Bonanza begin nie.
Oewerhengel:
Sandveld en Noordwes (uitgesonderd die gedeeltes gereserveer vir boothengelaars en hoofborge).
Jy kan alleenlik plek hou vir laatkommers vir soveel mense as wat jy hengelkaartjies aan Hoofoewerbeampte kan toon.
Geen kampering binne hengelsone van 10 meter vanaf damoewer toegelaat nie.
Canoes and bait boats are permitted. Lifejackets are compulsory.
Geen petrolaangedrewe bote om aas uit te neem nie.
Boat angling:
Launching from the official launching sites only.
Only participants on boats. No passengers.
No boat fishing within 300 meters from shore anglers.
No boats allowed to beach at the shore angling areas.
Geen boothengelaars in oewerhengelseksie toegelaat nie.
Boat anglers may fish from allocated shores, but will be judged according to boat points system. (Not allowed to beach on private property.)
Boats must have the necessary safety equipment.
Boats equipped with night navigation equipment are allowed at their own risk on the dam during the night.
Boats not allowed to cruise on the water after sundown (must stay anchored).
Skippers must complete “SAPS lock-in control document” and hand it back to official before launching. The lock-in document is available at Registration at the gates of resort. Each boat will receive a SAPS boat disk that must be put back onto the disk board where you have launched by the skipper when returned.
Inweeg:
Hengelkaartjie moet getoon word om vis te kan weeg.
Vis wat geweeg word, word die eiendom van die Organiseerders.
Only your biggest fish of a specie will be weighed. Rather catch & release. Slegs visse wat groot genoeg is om vir ‘n prys in aanmerking geneem te word, sal geweeg word. No bags loaded with fish will be allowed at weigh-in. No culling at the weigh-in allowed.
Waterlab / Geoscience sal wenvisse ontleed om vas te stel of vis uit Bloemhofdam kom en wanneer die vis gevang is.
Only live fish will be weighed. No damaged fish will be weighed.
Each participant must have his or her own keep net or live well.
It is in your own interest to weigh your fish for Big Banger prizes immediately.
Prize-giving
Participants must be at prizegiving at Sandveld and present his angling ticket to be considered to win any prize.
You can only win one prize with one fish.
One prize per participant, lucky draws excluded.
All participants automatically participate for all prizes in the fishing tournament. The computer weigh-in programme will sort out the winners of the different prizes.
The first 10 shore prizes and 10 boat prizes will be determined according to the Eko-Care Fishing Table. In case of a tie the winner will be determined by a draw.
“Big Banger” motorprys: Grootste karp bo 10kg wen Opel Corsa twv R80 000.
“Big Banger” kontantprys: Massa prys. Grootste karp bo 9,5kg deur ‘n boothengelaar gevang wen R30 000 kontant. Grootste baber bo 25kg deur ‘n oewerhengelaar gevang wen R30 000 kontant.
The organizers reserve the right not to hand out any specific prize when foul play or any irregularity is suspected.
Lucky draw for the Keep the dam Clean Competition. You must hand in your bag with litter and tear-off slip in Lucky Draw Box.
Water is Lewe - Cast for Cash kompetisie. Handig jou botteltjie met water in.
Pre Entry Lucky draw. Get a stamp on the back of your angling ticket when you arrive at the gates.
Stywe Lyne / Tight Lines Teams Bonanza
Open Teams angling tournament begins at 08h00 until 16h00 on 27 April 2007.
Target species: Only carp will be weighed.
Teams may consist of 1 to 4 anglers per team.
Teams must register to participate in the teams tournament. Hand in your Entry Form at the weigh-in.
Weigh-in at Sandveld only.
Weigh-in opens at 14h00 on 27 April.
Weigh-In ring closes at 17h00 on 27 April.
NB.Only the team’s four biggest carp will be weighed. You decide wich are your biggest carps. No culling allowed at the weigh-in.
Prizes 1-3 for heaviest bag of four carps per team, boat and shore anglers respectively.
Prizes for most original Team name or best dressed team.
SPAR Bonanza
Hengelkompetisie vind op 28 April 2007 tot 29 April 2007 plaas. Dag-en nagkompetisie.
Hengeltyd:Oewer - Saterdag 08h00 tot Sondag 08h00
Hengeltyd: Boot - Saterdag 09h00 tot Sondag 09h00.
Target Fish Species: Carp, (excluding grass carp) and Catfish.
Weigh-in Saturday 11h00 – 19h00. Sunday 06h00 – 09h00 (shore) / 06h00 - 10h00 (boat) on both Northwest at Ablution block and Sandveld at the launching. You will be allowed to weigh anytime during the competition.
